Coconut oil’s antioxidant effect in our body can be activated through three different nutritional ways.
What is antioxidant?
Antioxidants are the nutrients that block the free radical’s damaging reactions in the body. It includes vitamin A, C, and E, zinc and selenium are a powerful antioxidant as well.
These antioxidant helps our body to overcome our normal free radicals by-product formation.
when we consume a lot of polyunsaturated fat, and that is what we are doing nowadays. We have it in chips, chicken nuggets, ketchup, mayonnaise, doughnuts, and cookies. The number of free radicals and oxidative reactions will exceed the antioxidant normal capacity.
This will cause oxidative stress, in this case free radicals will deplete our body from important nutrients that the body need not only as antioxidant but to use it in other vital cellular functions ,exposing us to a nutritional deficiency health problems .
Coconut oil is what we really need
Coconut oil is saturated fat. This fatty acid has no unpaired electron; all its carbon atoms are saturated with hydrogen. There is no liability for oxidation or free radical formation. This property gives coconut oil the high stability in storing for long time and in cooking.
Coconut oil can even protect the polyunsaturated fatty acid that our food might contain from being rancid and oxidized .Taking omega 3 which is polyunsaturated oil with coconut oil multiply its healthy effect.
